Old Polish cake recipe
The recipe found last year at Easter in Poland. The most beautiful cake I've eaten in Poland, the truth be told. Certainly a lot of sweet cakes call we might we gave them another name.Our incredients9 eggs400g. castor sugar1 tablespoon cocoa30 mL milk250g. broken walnuts250g. blanched almonds, brokenJuice of half lemon2-3 tablespoons grated biscuit or toastJam of your choiceChocolate for decorationFlaked almonds for decoration
ProcessDivide yolks from the whites.Add the egg yolks 200g. icing sugar and beat with mixer until we have a uniform mixture.Dissolve cocoa in lukewarm milk and add to the mixture, continuing the beating.
Add the walnuts and continue to hit your hand rather than the mixer.Pour the mixture into buttered baking dish with a diameter of 28 cm
Beat the egg whites into meringue slowly adding 200g. icing sugar.
When the meringue is ready we add the lemon juice.Add the ground almonds, stirring with a spatula carefully.Finally add the crushed biscuits and pour the mixture over the mixed nuts.Bake in preheated oven at 170 degrees for 45 minutes.When the cake has cooled, add us to jam the entire surface of your choice and decorate with chocolate and almonds net.
